Dr.  Salve has 13 Years of experience as Physician, Teacher and Community based researcher at AIIMS New Delhi. He has worked with the national and state Governments in India as well as WHO and other International agencies serving on expert committees or leading research projects and technical reports.

Key areas of work includes Non-Communicable Diseases, Climate Change, Air Pollution, Mental Health and Health System Research. He is also contributing in generating awareness regarding COVID-19 through print and digital media.
